Health Principles ...

The Foundation recognizes that health problems are varied and complex, affecting every segment of the community and that disparity exist among its at-risk population. As a consequence of its limited financial resources, the Foundation will be unable to eradicate all of the community’s health problems. Its strategies, however, are based on the principle that view health not as absence of disease or curing of diseases but rather as the overall state of physical, mental and social well-being. In this context, health is predicated on the availability of appropriate data and information, access to disease prevention, health promotion programs, and public policies conducive to health and social wellness.
